Cisco: FinHacks
Cisco was looking to identify up-and-coming tech talent for future co-op and full-time opportunities. So, they invited computer science and engineering students to Swim with the Big Fish, and work out of their cutting-edge North American Innovation Centre for 48 hours surrounded by their IoT technologies and prototypes.

Process
Developed event strategy and generated a project plan
Designed event experience and finalized logistics
Created website and informational content
Recruited judges and participants
Ran hackathon and provided support for a successful hack

Hackathon Summary
Working alongside mentors from Cisco, the hackers experimented with wearables, beacons, geofencing, sensors, and 3D printers to build IoT solutions.
Participants were able to first-handedly experience the most advanced technologies on the market and the company’s talent representatives had the opportunity to see hackers in tight-quarters and under strict timelines.
